This was a competition brief for So Young Magazine that asked entrants to illustrate a song by, or members of one of the bands that they have previously featured in their magazine. As a big fan of Prince, I decided to illustrate the song 'Purple Rain'. I wanted to make the piece funky as hell, whilst giving it a disco vibe. I restricted the colour palette to just 4 colours which I really enjoyed working with. Although I didn't win the competition the artwork has proved popular and is available to buy through my shop.
